Red Bull New York announced a four-year MLS contract for Julian Hall on August 27, keeping the Manhattan native with the club through the 2029-30 season. The 18-year-old forward, a 2026 MLS All-Star, will occupy a U-22 Initiative roster spot under the new agreement.
Hall became the youngest American to sign a U-22 Initiative contract in MLS history at 18 years, 156 days old. He is also the first Red Bull New York Academy product to sign a U-22 Initiative deal with the club.
From Academy Standout to First-Team Contributor
In his fourth season with the first team, Hall has made 56 career appearances for Red Bull New York. This season, he has made 18 appearances, recording nine goals and four assists.
Hall made his professional debut on September 30, 2023, when he entered as a substitute against Chicago Fire FC. He became the second-youngest player in MLS history to appear in a match. In 2024, he scored his first MLS goal in a draw against CF Montréal and became the youngest player in franchise history to score for the club at 16 years, 87 days old. He was also the second-youngest scorer in MLS history behind Freddy Adu.
Hall featured for Red Bull New York II in MLS NEXT Pro from 2023 to 2025, making 30 appearances with 11 goals and two assists. At the academy level, he made 39 appearances and scored 28 goals. He helped the Red Bulls’ U-15 side win the 2023 U-15 MLS NEXT Cup, earning tournament MVP honors after scoring five goals.
The Numbers Behind the Deal
Hall became the youngest player in MLS history to record a hat trick when he did so at 18 years, 50 days old in a 3-2 win over Columbus Crew on May 13. His selection to the 2026 MLS All-Star roster made him the second-youngest player in franchise history to be named an MLS All-Star, at 18 years, 106 days old.
Head of Sport Julian de Guzman said Hall has become an important part of the first team and is expected to continue playing a significant role. De Guzman described the contract as a reflection of the club’s regard for Hall and his continued development.
International Experience
Hall has represented the United States at the U-15 and U-17 levels, including three appearances at the 2025 U-17 FIFA World Cup. He also helped the U.S. U-15 team win the 2023 U-15 CONCACAF Championship, scoring three goals during the tournament, and has been called into Poland youth national team camps.
Hall said Red Bull New York has played a major role in his development and that he is eager to continue improving and help the team achieve its goals. His new contract runs through the 2029-30 season.
